Skar kollektiv, later renamed as SKAM kollektiv, was a group consisting of young environmental-conscious people who ran an eco collective at the old military camp in Skar, for three months.
We had the chance to see this wonderful project with many community-oriented activities. We were also invited to one of their meetings, to see in first person how their organization and assembly communication worked.
The peoples in Maridalen gave them great support, and the local politicians supported their plan for the place. After the eviction from Skar, they took the two houses at Holmenkollen Leir in use as their homes. They did this to find a temporary solution for their housing crisis and to set a stop to the situation at Holmenkollen Leir, where the houses were abandoned and at risk of destruction.
