The puppet company Títeres desde Abajo presented their show “La Bruja y Don Cristóbal” (The Witch and Mr.Cristóbal), on the occasion of the 28th Congress of the IWA-AIT in Alcoy.
In this show, we revive Mr. Cristóbal Polichinela, a dark character from Iberian popular tradition. This time, Polichinela comes in many forms to impose his will with the blow of a blackjack. However, a with inhabits this land too, and she has taken the strong decision to love her freedom above everything, and to not let herself be trampled by no Mr.Cristóbal, no matter how powerful he might be.

La compañía Títeres desde abajo presentó su obra La Bruja y Don Cristóbal, con motivo del 28º Congreso de la AIT-IWA, celebrado en Alcoy.
En este espectáculo revivimos a Don Cristóbal Polichinela, ese oscuro
personaje de la tradición popular ibérica. En esta ocasión, Polichinela
se presenta bajo diferentes formas para imponer su voluntad a base
cachiporra. Sin embargo, también habita en estas tierras una bruja que
tiene la firme decisión de amar su libertad por encima de todo y no
dejarse pisotear por ningún Don Cristóbal, por mucho poder que éste se
arrogue.
